PURPOSE:To thin a device by providing a bottom surface common mirror for externally emitting the reflected light of mirror groups disposed correspondingly to scanning lines. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam through a rotating optical scanning mechanism is made incident on the mirror groups 2 as a scanning light A. The reflecting and scanning light A by the mirror groups 2 is further reflected by the bottom surface common mirror 5, externally emitted to form a scanning pattern 3. The mirrors 21, 22, 23 are disposed correspondingly to the scanning lines and the reflected light plots the scanning lines 31, 32, 33 to form the scanning pattern 3. According to this constitution, a scanning pattern forming position, for instance, a space h1 between a reading window and the mirror groups can be remarkably reduced, so that the thin device can be realized.
