There are disclosed compounds of the formula: in which R<2> is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl or a protecting group, R<3> is C1-4 alkyl or a protecting group, and X is hydrogen or -OX is a leaving group, which are intermediates in the preparation of pharmaceutical compounds.
