PURPOSE:To attain the simplicity of the titled circuit by sampling a color burst signal not receiving distortion by a low pass filter so as to sample its representative, thereby relaxing the tight requirement for the accuracy of the circuit generating the sampling signal. CONSTITUTION:A phase correction circuit 14 whose phase characteristic is the same as the phase characteristic of a low filter 12 and whose gain is the unity is provided between the output of a subtractor 101 and a 2nd input of the selector 16. A color burst signal in signals subject to phase correction by a phase shift supplied from a low pass filter 12 by the phase correction circuit 14 is sampled by a synchronizing circuit 18 to sample a representative of the color burst signal. Since the color burst signal to be sampled is used for sampling without being subject to distortion by the low pass filter 12, the time zone possible for sampling is expanded and the sampling point of time is set easily.
