PURPOSE:To connect many spots without deteriorating the path connection quality, by installing a connecting trunk to the post-stage of a speech path, providing an image selecting function of one spot and a reducing and synthesizing function of an image of all spots, on a common apparatus, and executing its selection. CONSTITUTION:Buffer memories LA-A, B, C and D accumulate an odd dot of one line of each input image A, B, C and D, and as for FE-UO, LO, UE and LE, O of a picture which is synthesized and outputted, E, U, and L accumulate an odd dot, a dot of an even frame, a dot of the upper half, and a dot of the lower half, respectively. An odd of an odd line is written in IB-A and LB-B, and it is not written while an even line is sent, and it is read out in order of LB-A and LB-B and written in FB. While it is written to FB-O, information written in FB-XE is read out in order of FB-UE and FB-LE, and on the contrary, while it is written in FB-E, when information of FB-XO is read out in order of FB-UO and FB-LO, a reduced and synthesized picture of A, B, C and D is obtained.
