PURPOSE:To obtain the filter element which has large filtration surface per unit volume and is free from secular change, easy to construct, and able to be reutilized, by liquid-tightly fusion-joining one end of porous filter medium made of inorganic material with thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:Through-holes for specified number of filter mediums 4 to be inserted are bored in at least one thermoplastic resin plate 5 which has almost the same shape as that solidified after melting, and the filter mediums 4 are stood by inserting the end part into the through-holes. Then the resin plate 5 with the filter mediums 4 stood therein is put in a melting frame, and the frame and its neighbor are heated to melt the resin in order to hermetically fusion-join the plate with the filter mediums 4. The plate is solidified by cooling and separated from the frame, and the end sealing surface is formed. As a result, such a filter element 1 is obtained that is of large filtration surface, free from secular change, easy to construct, and is able to be reutilized by a reproductive treatment. |
