The design is intended to reduce the number of different types of expansion vessel which has to be stocked. The cylindrical vessel is fitted with connectors for flow and return safety pipes for both the upright or horizontal position. The pipes are linked through bypass heater pipes inside the vessel. The pipe in use is fitted with a thermostatic valve to control flow according to the water temperature in the vessel. Unused connectors and openings are sealed. The pipe configuration ensures that no excessive circulation of water is set up inside the vessel. This reduces oxygen absorption and corrosion. |
