PURPOSE: To save an extra driver, e.g. a motor or a magnet, by an arrangement wherein a motor can drive a further function, e.g. ink ribbon advance, through an eccentric ring and a rotary lever and a motor for printing a selected character functions separately. CONSTITUTION: A cam 5 and an eccentric ring 12 are secured to the motor shaft 4. The roll 13 of a turnable lever 14 abuts against the eccentric ring and the pivot shaft 15 of the lever 14 is fixed similarly to a stand 2. When the motor turns, a hammer 6 is moved toward a platen 9 by means of the cam 5. The eccentric ring 12 is turned simultaneously with the cam 5. Since the eccentric ring turns the lever 14 while resisting against the action of a spring 16, a ratchet wheel 18 is turned. The rotational motion is transmitted through a coupling part 20 to an ink ribbon. According to the structure, many functions can be driven by a same motor in addition to a print hammer and an ink ribbon. |
