摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain high productivity and good-quality signals by separating a substrate to be formed with a recording film and substrate to be irradiated with light for reading out the signals. CONSTITUTION:The magneto-optical disk is constituted of the resin substrate (substrate A) on which the tracking patterns for tracking servo are formed and an magneto-optical recording medium is provided and the transparent substrate (substrate B) which is provided in the position confronting the magneto- optical recording medium and on the incident side of recording and reproducing light and is smoothed in the surface confronting at least the part to be subjected to recording. For example, both the substrate A1 and the substrate B2 are formed of a synthetic resin. A thin amorphous rare earth-transition metal film consisting of TbFeCo, etc., or thin films consisting of FeCoO4, barium ferrite, rare earth garnet magnetic material, MnCuBi, PtMnSb, etc., are used for the recording medium 3. Ordinary thin film forming methods such as sputtering and vacuum deposition are used to form the thin film. The C/N is thereby improved to a greater extent.
