PURPOSE:To mass-produce optical devices having slopes by using a lens assembling sheet, on which protective sheets for work are laid, to grind and work rod-shaped lens strands. CONSTITUTION:A lens assembling sheet 10 where plural rod-shaped lens strands 1 having a minute diameter are arranged in a line in a frame 13 is cut with a prescribed length in the extending direction of rod-shaped lens strands 1. Protective sheets 15 and 16 for work are fixed to cut surfaces 14a and 14b of the lens assembling sheet 10, and protective sheets 15 and 16 for work or/and rod-shaped lens strands 1 are ground and worked at a prescribed angle to optical axes of rod-shaped lens strands 1 of the lens assembling sheet 10. Thus, mass production is possible with the lens assembling sheet.
