摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material having a sufficient developed color density and a sufficient color forming sensitivity, suitable for high-speed recording and having a high ground brightness and excellent preservability, by using at least one compound selected from compounds of predetermined general formulas as an auxiliary constituent. CONSTITUTION:At least one compound selected from compounds of general formulas [I]-[V], wherein each of R1-R9 is hydrogen, an alkyl or halogen, and each of l, m, n, p, q, r and s is an integer of 1-3, is used as an auxiliary constituent, in a thermal recording material utilizing a color forming reaction between a leuco dye and a color developer. Among the compounds, one having a melting point of 70-120 deg.C and a molecular weight of 200-400 is used particularly preferably. At least one leuco dye is used either singly or in combination. A leuco compound of a dye based on, for example, triphenylmethane, fluoran, phenothiazine, auramine, spiropyran or indolinophthalide is preferably used.
