PURPOSE:To obtain an alcohol-containing cosmetic, e.g. toilet water, eau de Cologne, perfume, etc., having excellent preservation stability and organoleptic characteristics without odor unique to ethyl alcohol, by adding GINJO SHU [carefully brewed SAKE made from selected raw materials (Japanese rice wine)] to a cosmetic containing ethyl alcohol and water. CONSTITUTION:An alcohol-containing cosmetic, e.g. skin lotion, hair lotion, hair tonic, after shave lotion, milky lotion, cream, etc., obtained by adding GINJO SHU [carefully brewed SAKE (Japanese rice wine) which is made from selected raw materials and one kind of SAKE (Japanese rice wine)] in an amount of 0.5-10wt%, preferably 1.0-8wt% based on the total weight to a cosmetic containing ethanol, e.g. undenatured ethanol, various denatured ethanol, etc., and water, e.g. purified water such as distilled water, ion exchange water, etc. The GINJO SHU has fruity odor and contains esters, e.g. caproic acid esters, n-amyl isovalerate, etc., and higher alcohols, e.g. heptanol, etc., and capable of reducing peculiar smell of ethanol by action thereof. |
