PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and to facilitate assembling, in a rack structure for suspension type automatic warehouse system, by suspending the upper end of a post secured with a load bearing member from an upper stage horizontal beam and engaging the lower end thereof movably up and down with a lower stage horizontal beam. CONSTITUTION:Framework of rack is assembled from horizontal beams 4a, 4b for side frame and suspension, anti-swing horizontal beams 5a, 5b, braces, etc. Then front and rear suspension post having a wire shelf board 12 and a stopper 15 are engaged sequentially with the horizontal beams 4a, 4b from the upper stage. Said engaging is carried out by moving a stopping click 21 of a bracket 20 in the suspension post 13b horizontally in order to fit said click 21 between upper and lower lips 22a, 22b of the horizontal beam 4b then lowering it. The suspension post 13a is also handled similarly. With such arrangement, vertical compression load does not function onto the suspension post, thereby the rack structure can be constructed with light material resulting in reduction of weight.
