摘要 PURPOSE:To realize the monitoring of a welding current with high reliability by dividing the electrification section of the resistance welding to change by stages like the preheating, the main electrifying and the postheating into plural sections and setting a reference current value for each section to monitor the welding current. CONSTITUTION:The resistance welding is performed by changing the electrification by stages with the lapse of time like the preheating, the main electrifying and the postheating. At the time of monitoring, the electrification section is divided into the preheating T1, the main electrifying T2 and the postheating T3 and the number of cycles of the supply current and the reference current value for each section are set in a setting means 1. When the welding is started, an arithmetic means 3 samples the number of the whole cycles in each section inputted from a welding current detection means 2 with a prescribed period for each section and operates an effective value for each section from an instantaneous value. A decision means 4 compares the effective value for each section calculated by the means 3 with each reference value set by the means 1 to decide acceptance or rejection of a welded result. In this way, the overall area of the welding process can be accurately monitored.
