PURPOSE:To ensure the proper reversal of any kind of sheet in the sheet reversal device of a copying machine having a double-side copying function by applying a sharp section to the area of a pressure roller in contact with the peripheral surface of a reverse roller. CONSTITUTION:The tip 23b of a pressure roller 23 comes in contact with the peripheral surface 11a of a reverse roller 11 in such a way as to sandwich a sheet S and turns into a crushed state. Therefore, the tip 23b of the pressure roller 23 is crushed against the peripheral surface 11a of the reverse roller 11 and bent due to the pressing force of the whole of the pressure roller 23. And the resilient force of the bent part works as a positive power, thereby enlarging pressure per unit area compared with a roller-shaped pressure roller. Consequently, even if the sheets coming through a sheet carriage passage is thick and large-sized, the pressure roller 23 contacts the reverse roller 11 with a pressing force enough to reverse and feed the sheet S. And the sheet S is properly fed to a re-feed passage via the rotation of the reverse roller 11.
