PURPOSE:To supply a large power by forcibly switching a switch element from an OFF state to an ON state when a capacitor is charged to a predetermined level, and supplying a large current to a reactor immediately after the ON is started. CONSTITUTION:A chopper type DC stabilized power source is composed by sequentially connecting a current detecting resistor 3, an FET 4 and a reactor 5 between one end of a DC power source 1 and one end of a load 2. The FET 4 is composed of a P-channel type which becomes an ON state when a negative voltage exceeding a threshold voltage is applied to a gate G, and connected together with the reactor 5 to a rectifying diode 7 and a smoothing capacitor 8. A driving winding 9 which forms an ON/OFF controller of the FET 4 has a first capacitor 10 electromagnetically coupled with the reactor 5 and connected in series with the reactor. Further, it has a reverse blocking diode 12, a ripple voltage removing second capacitor 15, and a transistor 13.
