<p>PURPOSE:To produce the titled substance useful as a preventive and remedy, on an industrial scale, by establishing a human-originated myelomonocytic cell capable of producing the titled substance, producing the titled substance using said cell and producing a monoclonal antibody using the substance as an antigen. CONSTITUTION:gamma-Interferon is produced by using a human-originated established myelomonocytic cell capable of producing gamma-interferon, e.g. HBL-38, HL-60, KG-1, etc. In the above process, the myelomonocytic cell is made to contact with an inducing agent. The myelomonocytic cell is transplanted in a body of warm-blooded animal other than human or in a diffusion chamber embedded in the body or placed outside of the body and proliferated under the supply of the body fluid of the animal. A warm-blooded animal other than human is immunized by using the obtained gamma-interferon as an antigen, an antibody- producing cell is collected from the animal and the cell is fused with a myeloma cell to produce an anti-gamma-interferon monoclonal antibody.</p> |
