PURPOSE:To provide an image-receiving sheet free of lowering in density or blurring of recorded images even during longtime preservation, by providing a heat-resistant gas barrier layer between an elastic material layer and a sublimable dye-receiving layer, in an image-receiving sheet comprising the elastic material layer and the dye-receiving layer being laminated in order. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant gas barrier layer is provided between an elastic material layer and a dye-receiving layer. Even when recorded images are preserved under hot and humid conditions such as at 50 deg.C and 80%RH, the problem of generating blurring of the images is overcome by the presence of the gas barrier layer. The gas barrier layer must be heat-resistant so as to endure the heat received from a thermal heed at the time of recording, and generally comprises a resin. The resin preferably has a thermal deformation temperature of at least 50 deg.C, particularly, at least 60 deg.C, and preferably has a low gas permeability. The resin may be polyvinylidene chloride, a polyester, polytrifluorochloroethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl fluoride or the like. |
