PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a drive circuit and the capacity of power source and to prevent formation of an erroneous recording dots, by splitting all recording electrode arranging sections into plural groups while arranging wire bundle connecting terminals at the positions near to respective electrode groups on a printed wiring board and connecting the wire bundle for matrix wiring with the wire bundle connecting terminals on the printed wiring board for every group. CONSTITUTION:A length of recording head is splitted into plural groups having a plurality of element areas. First group U1 is composed of A1, A2, B2, A3, B3, for example. Imaging of a printed wiring board in one group is carried out such that the recording electrodes to be driven through one driver circuit connect the shortest distance connectable with one of respective wire bundle connecting terminals C11, C12, C13... as a single bundle W'. When the number of group is increased, the number of wires to be driven through single driver circuit decreases, thereby stray capacity and inter-line coupling capacity decrease while the number of driver circuits increases. Consequently, the size and the cost of drive circuit can be reduced through application of a high-density integration circuit. |
