PURPOSE:To suppress the number of switches for correcting a recording position to the min. and to esily and accurately correct the recording position, by providing a correction timer for allowing the positions of the ink droplets injected from recording heads at the time of reciprocating recording on a recording medium to coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:Correction timers 15A-15D for allowing the positions of the ink droplets injected from recording beads 5A-5D on a recording medium to coincide with each other are provided and a correction timer 13 for allowing the positions of ink droplets injected at the time of reciprocating recording to coincide with each other is provided. When the delay time Z of the timer 13 is brought to 0 at the time of forward recording and a proper time (e.g., 200musec) is set at the time of backward recording, 400 musec-DB, 400 musec-DC and 400 musec-DD are respectively set to the counters of the recording position correction timers 15B-15D at the time of backward recording. By this method, even at the time of reciprocating recording, the ink droplets injected from the recording beads 5A-5D can be always adhered to the recording medium 1 at the same position. |
