PURPOSE:To facilitate the operations of crashing and removal and reduce the labor thereby to shorten the time to crash and remove clinker and improve the performance of an incinerator by laying beforehand lumps or powder of calcium carbonate in the furnace bed of an incinerator and then conducting combustion of the incinerator. CONSTITUTION:The operation of an incinerator is carried out at a temperature of 1100-1400 deg.C with calcium carbonate laid beforehand on the furnace bed of the incinerator. The produced clinker is porous and can be removed easily, and when a little smount of water is spreaded on it, the clinker itself expands in volume so that its crushing can be made more effective. With this arrangement the characteristics of the clinker which is formed on the furnace bed are improved and the clinker can be easily crushed and its removal is facilitated.
