<p>PURPOSE:To increase the strength against passing of an electrode plate crack through a separator and the strength against tension at the time of winding by pasting an anti-alkaline sticky tape in advance before winding process, on the separator at the part in contact with the initial winding part of a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:A sticky (tape-shaped) film is pasted in advance on a separator in contact with the initial winding parts of both electrode plates, where a short- circuit occurs frequently, before winding process of the electrode plates. For instance, in case a positive electrode plate 1 where a substrate, in which Ni powder is sintered at about 900 deg.C for three minutes, is made to hold an active material mainly composed of nickel hydroxide and a negative electrode plate 2, which is made to hold an active material mainly composed of cadmium hydroxide, are wound through an unwoven cloth separator 3 of polyamide fibers, a sticky tape 4 (a sticky tape made of polypropylene) is pasted centering about a winding axis core 5 with same width as that of the separator 3. Thereby, an inferiority rate can be reduced while improving reliability of a storage battery.</p> |
