The present invention relates to a method and a device for changing the material supply and/or for purging, on production equipment, especially an injection-moulding press, enabling, on the one hand, the said press to be automatically supplied with at least two different materials one after the other and, on the other hand, the equipment to be purged after the production runs by replacing the material used with a purging substance. The invention is characterised in that the material-supply and/or purging changeover is obtained by a swinging pivoting movement of at least two hoppers 11-16, preferably in a horizontal axis perpendicular to the horizontal axis of the screw/barrel assembly 3, especially for an injection-moulding press, and by using either the forward-backward movement cycle of an element of the production equipment, or by using a device 25 having a thrust cylinder or thrust cylinders, the control of which is integrated into the cycle of the production equipment. <IMAGE>
