PURPOSE:To make it possible to vary intervals of lines of a displayed sentence by converting an inter-line width of inter-line data to the number of dots and shifting scanning lines of a CRT display device by this number of dots. CONSTITUTION:In dot printer printing, dot columns of characters correspond to scanning line of the CRT display device in 1:1. A character code corresponding to an operated key on a keyboard 1 is given to a CPU2. The CPU2 controls a display controller 5 and a printer controller 7 in accordance with an editing program in an ROM3. An RAM4 is provided with a sentence buffer 41, where sentence data attained by editing input characters from the keyboard 1 by the CPU2 is stored, and an area 42 where inter-line data expressed with the number of dots converted by the CPU2 is stored. Sentence data is printed by a printer 8. The printer 8 is controlled by the controller 7, and the controller 7 is controlled by the CPU2. The CPU2 controls the display controller 5, and the controller 5 controls the CRT display device 6. |
