PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of electrostatic discharge and a fogging phenomenon between adjacent recording electrode styluses and to obtain a print excellent in its quality by setting up the size of conductive grains and the number of grains per unit area to the prescribed size and the prescribed number of grains respectively. CONSTITUTION:In an electrostatic recording body for an electrostatic recording device consisting of a base film 21 made of an insulating material and a rugged layer 24 covering one face of the base film, 500-5,000 conductive grains 25 having <=10mum grain size per 1mm<2> are electrically independently dispersed to the surface of the rugged layer 24. The generation of discharge between the adjacent electrode styluses is prevented by setting up the grain size of conductive grains to <=10mum and the probability of contacting the conductive grains with the recording electrode styluses is reduced by restricting the number of conductive grains per unit area, so that a fogging phenomenon generated by the injection of electrostatic charge from the recording electrode styluses into the conductive grains can be suppressed. Consequently, the electrostatic recording body improved at its picture quality can be obtained. |
