PURPOSE:To offer a FW method without causing sagging of winding fiber by transferring a carriage traverse in a manner that the locus of feed section may follow the outer surface of a cone section from a point where winding fiber reaches the end of a mandrel up to a point where the same reaches the right cylindrical section. CONSTITUTION:From point A1 where winding fiber 2 reaches the end of a mandrel 4 up to point L1 where the same reaches a right cylindrical section 8 of a cone section 7, a carriage traverse 5 is transferred in a manner that the locus of a feed section 6 of the carriage traverse 5 follows the outer surface shape of a cone section. The same process is carried out from point A2' to point L2' at the right end, and the carriage traverse 5 is transferred keeping the fixed distance (e) from the mandrel 4 all the way from point A1' through point A2' over the mandrel 4. By said method, the relative distance between C1 and L1' is shortened to be distance U2, and winding can be carried out almost without any sagging even in small-angle helical winding. |
