PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having reduced amount of insecticide, improved safety and economic efficiency by using a specific insecticidal component, having excellent diffusing properties of insecticidal component into an impregnating mat, fading properties, etc., by using a specific compound or mixture together with a dyestuff. CONSTITUTION:An insecticide having excellent diffusing properties of insecticidal component into an impregnating mat, proper fading properties and volatility even with a reduced content of insecticidal component, containing (A) a specific pyrethroid insecticide such as 2-methyl-4-oxo-3-(2-propynyl)cyclopent-2-enyl- chrysanthemate, etc., (B) a dyestuff and (C) (i) a mixture of a specific ester compound such as 13-25C aliphatic hydrocarbon liquid at 30 deg.C and a synergistic agent, (ii) a mixture of 12-16C aliphatic hydrocarbon and the synergistic agent, (iii) 20-24C aliphatic acid ester or phthalic ester and/or (iv) a mixture of the ester in the component iii and the hydrocarbon in the component ii.
