MAGNETO-OPTICAL CRYSTAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a single magneto-optical crystal having a temperature- independent Faraday rotation angle, in high productivity at a low cost, by epitaxial growth of a Bi-containing rare earth garnet crystal on a garnet crystal for temperature compensating having a specific compositional formula. CONSTITUTION:The objective magneto-optical crystal can be produced by the epitaxial growth of a Bi-containing rare earth garnet on a garnet crystal expressed by compositional formula (BixGd3-x)(Fe5-yGay)O12 (0.7<=x<=1.3; 1.0<=y<=1.7).
