PURPOSE:To improve the tight contact and sliding property of a glass run channel for an automobile to glass by forming a glass contact portion in at least a cut-water portion with a lamination layer of a denatured olefin system thermoplastic base layer and a slippery resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A glass run channel 1 having a main body 2 having a generally U-shaped cross section and a tongue-shaped cut-water portion 3 is formed of an olefin system thermoplastic elastomer. Then, at least a glass contact portion 4 is constituted of a denatured olefin system thermoplastic elastomer base 7 and a slippery resin layer 9. And the base 7 is formed with the surface 8 having fine irregularities. This slippery resin layer 9 is formed of nylon group, thermoplastic polyurethane resin, etc. By this constitution can be improved the tight contact and sliding properties to glass.
