PURPOSE:To obtain a molding material having uniform good fluidity and physical properties as well as to make the temperature control of rolls easier by suppressing the local shearing heating due to kneading by using a continuous mixer for thermosetting resin molding materials, in which the clearance of the raw material supplying section of the mixing roll is made wider than the other parts. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin molding material is composed of a fibers inorganic and organic filler, a hardening catalyst, a stabilizer, a dye, a pigment, lubricant, etc., which are blended with a thermosetting resin component. In a continuous mixing roll, the clearance between the rolls of raw material supplying section is made wider by 0.3-4.0% of the diameter of the roll than that in the discharging section. In this case, two rolls are set in parallel to each other, and the diameter of one roll on the raw material supplying side is made smaller than the other part, for example. All effective roll length of the raw material supplying section is preferably regulated to within the range of 5-40%. With this construction, no excessive shear heating in the raw material supplying section occurs, and well-balanced quality molding material can be obtained. |
