<p>PURPOSE:To attain a packet exchange with the ratio of a highest highway transmission speed versus element operation speed possible in a principle by avoiding the passing of a signal relating to a different packet to an input highway and an output highway passing through one and same signal line, multiplexing the signals and applying switching the result. CONSTITUTION:A packet is inputted from N pieces of input ports connecting respectively to an input highway and distributed to (MXK) pieces of output ports according to a 1st code signal by a spatial switch 1, and M groups of buffer circuit groups 201+K, 202+K... comprised of K pieces of buffer circuits 201, 202... having a function to store one by one packet are provided. The output port of a buffer circuit at one end of the array of the buffer circuits 201, 202... area connected to each output highway, the output ports of other buffer circuits are connected to input the ports of adjacent buffer circuits and each output port of the spatial switch 1 is connected respectively to the input port of different buffer circuits. Thus, the packet is exchanged in a ratio of maximum highway transmission speed versus element operating speed possible in the principle.</p> |
