PURPOSE:To prevent useless radio disturbance to other receiver built in the equipment main body by turning on the power of a transmission circuit only when a digital signal recorded on a recording medium is reproduced. CONSTITUTION:An FM tuner 1 as a receiver and a digital audio reproducing circuit 2 are provided. The reproducing circuit 2 consists of a reproducing system 3a of a Compact Disk 3, a reproducing system 4a of a digital audio tape 4, and a changeover switch 21 connecting both the reproducing systems 3a, 4a to the D/A converter 9, a transmission circuit 10 and a detection circuit 16 switchingly. The detection circuit 16 detects whether or not a digital signal recorded on a recording medium is reproduced and when reproduced, the power supply of the transmission circuit 10 is turned on, and when not reproduced, the power supply is turned off. Thus, useless power consumption is reduced and the radio wave disturbance to the built-in receiver is reduced. |
