PURPOSE:To contrive the convenience on communication of a caller and a called party by providing a signal recognizing means recognizing the kind of a signal such as a selection signal and a call connection means connecting an incoming call so as to constitute a telephone set capable of the display of the will from the incoming side in a ringing state. CONSTITUTION:The titled set are provided with a reception circuit to receive a whistle corresponding to a signal reception means, a recognition circuit 6 detecting the arrival of the whistle corresponding the signal recognition means and recognizing the number of interruptions, a terminal control circuit 7 control various functions of a telephone set, to select a proper guidance message to an exchange network to command the transmission, a line adaptor circuit 8 matching the telephone set and the exchange network electrically, and a display circuit 9 to inform to a person in the vicinity of terminal equipment toward the exchange network to send a guidance message. Thus, the absence of the called party is informed by a simple instruction such as making a whistle toward the telephone set in the calling state.
