PURPOSE:To assure the highly accurate positioning of a wiring pattern of tape carrier with respect to a main substrate by a method wherein positioning holes of tape carrier are made of a part of conductor film comprising the wiring pattern. CONSTITUTION:A tape carrier 1 is composed of wiring pattern 4 with a conductor film 3 pattern-etched on the surface of a base film 2 formed into one body. Besides, the tape carrier 1 is made of holes 9 as positioning holes at two positions excluding the pattern 4. In case of making said holes 9, a base hole 9a is made together with a window 2a on the film 2 and then the film 3 is bonded on overall surface of film 2 while the film 3 is etched to make another conductor hole 9b simultaneously with the pattern 4. In case of connecting the carrier 1 thus constituted to a liquid crystal panel, the carrier 1 can be positioned with pins 23 of a jig 21 tightly inserted into hole 9b to assure the highly positioning because of the hole 9b made simultaneously with the pattern 4.
