Switching device for circuit-breaker contactors, it comprises three connecting rods articulated about a common axis and whose other ends are linked respectively to a prestress lever, to an interlock device and to a control device. Staged-force springs make it possible to obtain a large contact opening force without however requiring too great an effort on closure. The invention lends itself particularly well to the construction of circuit-breaker contactors. <IMAGE>
