The invention relates to a device for marking the connections of a terminal strip having at least one row of holders with terminal contacts for connecting leads, in the case of which a holder which is fitted in an insulating body and has a terminal contact and a clamping screw is allocated to each connection, in the case of which the holders are accessible from the front of the insulating body and the clamping screws from the top of the insulating body, and in the case of which the connecting leads inserted in the holders can be electrically conductively connected to the terminal contacts by means of the clamping screws. Clear, permanent attachment of marking supports of sufficient size is ensured in that the transition region between the top and the holders in the front of the insulating body is covered or can be covered by marking holder bodies which cover the top of the insulating body by means of a mounting plate and are provided on their undersides with plug-in pins, in that the plug-in pins are inserted or can be inserted into plug-in holders which are fitted in the top of the insulating body, outside the regions having the clamping screws, and in that the marking holder bodies are provided with one longitudinally directed retaining groove per connection, for holding a marking support, which groove in each case extends from the clamping screw to the associated holder.
