Circuit arrangement for telecommunications switching systems, in particular videophone switching systems, with the setting-up of broadband links. Four-wire links are set up via optical waveguides between subscriber stations. Subscriber circuits and also, if necessary, connection circuits in each case comprise two optical waveguides, one in each case for one of the two transmission directions.
