The valve plate for a combined suction and discharge valve is supported between a valve seat and a retaining plate and secured by bolts which pass through holes (11) arranged around a circle. A ring (12) of metal, contg. the bolt holes is connected to the outer, discharge part (4) of the valve plate by resilient arms (9), and is connected to the central suction part (5) of the valve plate by similar resilient arms (10). The central suction part cooperates with the suction valve seat, whilst the outer discharge part cooperates with the outlet valve seat. A sealing ring is fitted to each side of the metal ring, with rings convered by a common root for each pair of arms. |
