PURPOSE:To prevent a water hammering sound from occurring at the time of opening a hot water supply tap by providing a device in which a main body mountable on a water draining tap at a water supply connecting part of a hot water supplier is installed and a diaphragm is formed by an elastic absorber communicating with a water supply path thereby to relax a pressure fluctuation. CONSTITUTION:When a hot water supply tap is opened or closed, a flowing water switch (a reed switch or a flow switch) is actuated, and an abrupt pressure fluctuation occurs in a water passage. This pressure fluctuation is propagated to a diaphragm 25 via a supply water introducing part 22. An absorber 24 made of elastic rubber forming the diaphragm 25 absorbs the pressure fluctuation, expands or contracts to relax the water hammering operation. Accordingly, an abrupt change in the pressure is eliminated and water hammering sound is prevented. The water hammering sound varies depending on the water supply pressure, the opening or closing speed of the hot water supply tap, the shape of the flowing water switch or the shape of dies of a water supply master tap, but it can be dealt by varying the capacity of the diaphragm or the thickness of the absorber 24.
