The subject-matter of the invention is a container for foods and/or semi-luxury products, having an additional space for receiving chemicals which, by their reaction, cause the contents to be heated or cooled. The container for the food or semi-luxury product is designed as a shallow dish with a thin wall, an additional space for receiving chemicals being provided adjacent to the bottom of the container for the food or semi-luxury product. Said space is formed by a further thin-walled dish whose internal dimension corresponds approximately to the outer dimension of the thin-walled dish for the food or semi-luxury product, such that the additional space in which the heat is generated is arranged below the bottom of the shallow dish for the food or semi-luxury product. <IMAGE>
