After a certain period of time air-suspended semitrailers which have been placed on their supports (13), may slope rearwards as a consequence of the customary loss of air in the springs. In order to avoid damage to the supports (13), the said supports have to be able to drift or yield forwards, whereas their baseplates (17) remain positionally fixed. In order to achieve this, there is provided at the lower end of each extendable support part (16) a bearing part which can be pivoted around a horizontal axis (18), is designed as a rolling segment (23) and by means of a spherical rolling face (31) can roll along the baseplate (17). The spherical rolling face (31) also makes it possible for the baseplate (17) to adopt a position in which it is inclined forwards or rearwards and/or to the side, depending on the ground surface condition. The baseplate (17) is connected to the rolling segment (23) by an elastic sleeve (30) made of a rubber-like material. At one end the sleeve (30) keeps the rolling face (31) in contact with the mating bearing face (32) on the baseplate (17) and, in addition, seals off these faces (31, 32) hermetically from the outside so that they remain free of dirt. <IMAGE>
