Thereto the unit [1] which is connected to a bearing arrangement produces a signal Vcap and a second signal which is non-lineair e.g. is exponential and depends upon the capacitance between the lubricated bearing parts such that a variation in the lubrication film introduces a larger variation in the signal which is measured in the integrator [4].
