PURPOSE:To transmit/receive an image simultaneously with a voice by incorporating a video camera, memory, and a display device in a transceiver, and transmitting a video signal in a state of digital signal at a low rate of transmission simultaneously with a voice signal. CONSTITUTION:An charge pattern is taken out from a sensor as an illuminance signal Sy, gamma-corrected by a process amplifier 34, then supplied to an A/D converter 35 where it is converted to a digital signal Sd, and supplied to a memory 36. An address signal and a write pulse are supplied from a system controller 1 to the memory 36, and the signals Sd are sequentially written in the memory 36. If a check switch 2C is depressed, the signal Sd read out through actions inverse to the above-mentioned, and supplied to a D/A converter 37, and thus an illuminance signal Sy of standard scanning frequency is taken out, and the signal Sy is supplied to an LCD 39. Therefore, on the LCD 39, pieces of the signals Sy stored in the memory 36 are displayed in the form of a still picture.
