PURPOSE:To suppress the yield of ghost flare, by forming a light screening film on the side surface of a filter on the side of a solid-state image sensing element so that an opening part corresponds to a sensor region, and shielding the light reflected from the surface of the solid-state image sensing element. CONSTITUTION:Light receiving picture elements 13 are arranged on the surface of a solid-state image sensing element 11 in a two-dimensional pattern. Sensor regions 2 for converting optical signals from an object into an image signal are arranged for the light receiving picture elements 13. A filter 12 is stuck and fixed to the upper part of such a solid-state image sensing element 11. The filter 12 functions as a color separating filter and an optical black filter. A low reflection chromium film 1, which functions as a light screening film and suppresses ghost flare, is formed on the side surface of a transparent filter base part 5 on the side of the solid-state image sensing element. An opening part 7 of the chromium film 1 is provided so as to correspond to the sensor region 2. Therefore there is no trouble in receiving light, and the reflected light from the solid-state image sensing element can be decreased in a wider range. Thus the ghost flare can be reduced to a level where there is no practical problem.
