PURPOSE:To obtain also a damping effect against vibration or the like, by interposing magnetic fluid in slide parts between a ball and an inner ring and the ball and an outer ring of a rolling bearing or the like, in the case of a high accurate bearing for use of various information communication equipment or the like. CONSTITUTION:A rolling bearing, considering its use in a vacuum ambience, is formed such that only a slide part 8 of a ball 10 is opened in a retainer part 7 used as a storage part 5 of magnetic fluid 4 and the other part is sealed. The magnetic fluid 4 from the storage part 5, being concentrated in the parts between the ball and inner and outer rings 2, 3 by the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet 6, causes the ball 10 of nonmagnetic material to float, forming a stable lubricating film of the magnetic fluid and obtaining a smooth rolling characteristic. While the stable lubricating film of fluid having a less change is formed, accordingly the high accurate rolling bearing with a large damping effect against vibration or the like and a small change of torque and unevenness of rotation can be obtained. |
