DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH A PRINTER SETUP THROUGH A REMOTE DISPLAY TERMINAL

Data processing system involving a host processor (10) and a remote printer (11) which prints alphanumeric characters from data communicated from the host (10) and comprising of an intermediate processor (13) having an interactive display terminal (14). There are means (19) in the intermediate processor (13) for controlling the setup of repetitive format parameters of a document containing the alphanumeric characters printed by the printer (11), and means for displaying in the form of a menu the various document parameters available to the setup means in the intermediate processor (13). Thus, an operator at the display terminal (14) may select appropriate parameters for setting up the repetitive format of the document.
