<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the dead zone in a desulfurization tower, by arranging the spray nozzles of each stage so that the nozzles respectively become symmetrical to the center lines crossing each other at a right angle on the circular cross- section orthogonal to the gas flow direction of the desulfurization tower across the center line. CONSTITUTION:When stages on and after the second stage are successively arranged from the uppermost stage so as to be rotated in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction with due regard to all of the gas pipes of a recirculation pump, in all of spray stages, the arrangement of the spray nozzles of the upper and lower stages become a zigzag pattern and a dead zone is eliminated in the spray circles of the upper and lower stages. Since the enhancement of the desulfurization efficiency of the spray nozzles 9 of each stage in the same spray amount can be achieved as compared with convential technique, a nozzle pitch can be widened or a liquid/gas ratio exerting effect on desulfurization efficiency can be lowered, that is, the spray capacity of each spray nozzle 9 can be lowered within the range of the effective spray circle of spray liquid droplets.</p> |
