PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in flexibility, impact resistance, moisture resistance under pressure, heat cycling resistance, insulation resistance, etc., by mixing a prereaction product of epoxidized polybutadiene with a phenol novolak resin with a cure accelerator. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. epoxidized polybutadiene (A) of a number-average MW of 500-25,000 and a viscosity of 8,000-50,000cP (at 30 deg.C with a model BH Brookfield viscometer) is reacted with 2-60pts.wt. phenol novolak resin (B) at 110-180 deg.C for 0.5-5hr to obtain a prereaction product of a viscosity of 15,000-80,000cPs. 100pts.wt. of this prereaction product is mixed with 0.02-20 pts.wt. cure accelerator (C) (e.g., benzyldimethylamine) and, optionally, 2-400pts. wt. inorganic filler (e.g., talc) (D) of a particle diameter of 2-100mu, and 2-400 pts.wt. flame retardant (E) (e.g., Sb2O3), etc.
