PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of heating a cooked object, shorten a cooking time and enable heating in compliance with the cooked object by a method wherein at the time of energization a heater is energized at a high power at first, and after the interior of a cooking housing is rapidly heated, a low power energization for a heater is controlled by means of an energization control circuit so as to be returned. CONSTITUTION:To switches 30 and 31 for turning on or turning off through a changing- over switch 25 are connected in parallel a diode 32 and an auxiliary resistor 33. They are connected in series to form an energization control circuit. At the initial time of energization, due to a low temperature, a temperature control circuit 35 is turned on to short-circuit the energization control circuit for the diode 32 and the auxiliary resistor 33. As a result, an upper heater 22a is applied with a rated voltage and a cooking housing 21 is heated with a high power. As the temperature is increased, the temperature control circuit 35 is operated and turned off, resulting in that it is changed over to the heating condition set by the changing-over switch 25 at the initial stage. Therefore, a voltage of the upper heater 22a is decreased by the diode 32 or the auxiliary resistor 33, resulting in showing a low power and so the most suitable heating form in respect to the cooked object can be attained.
