PURPOSE:To raise the operability and repairing property of a printer by a method in which a gear to support the shaft of roll platen is attached to a side plate and fixed with a stop ring, an opening through which the shaft is passed is provided in the side plate, and the attachment and detachment of the platen are made under the condition that the side plate is fixed. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of the shaft 2A of a platen 2 are supported by bearings 3 and 3' which are supported by side plates 1 and 1'. A groove to be fitted with a stop ring 4 is provided in the shaft 2A, and the platen 2 is fixed by putting the bearings 3 and 3' between the stop ring 4 and the side plates 1 and 1'. When removing the platen 2, the stop ring 4 is removed, the bearing 3 is slided on the shaft 2A, the bearings 3 and 3' are removed from the side plate 1, and the shaft 2A is removed out of the openings 1A and 1A' of the side plates 1 and 1'. The other end of the shaft 2A is moved toward the axial direction and the platen 2 is removed out. |
