PURPOSE:To obtain both an original picture information and a contracted picture information in a short time by performing a processing to convert a compressed and encoded picture information into the original picture information by decoding it, and the processing to convert the original picture information into the contracted picture information by contracting it, at the same time in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The compressed and encoded picture information from an optical disk device 5 is converted into the original picture information by a decoding circuit 110, and the bit pattern output of the original picture information is written in an external memory 3 from a bus interface 140 through an external bus 4, and at same time, is inputted to a contraction circuit 120 too. The bit pattern output of the contracted picture information from the contraction circuit 120 is written in the external memory 3 form the bus interface 150. The transferring of a data from the bus interfaces 140 and 150 to the memory 3 is repeated alternately by a DMA controller 130, and both the original picture information and the contracted picture information are nearly simultaneously stored in the memory 3. |
